IMPROVISATION!!!


ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR SUMMER ELECTIVES CLASSES HAS COME TO THE SCHOOL YEAR.!  LED BY MASTER IMPROV TEACHER, MATT MCLAUGHLIN, SIGN UP EARLY FOR THIS ONE. IMPROV IS "ACTING WITHOUT A NET,"  MADE FAMOUS BY WHO'S LINE IS IT ANYWAY AND ITS THE WAY THAT SNL DEVELOPS ITS SKITS. IMPROV TEACHES CREATIVITY, QUICK THINKING, TEAM BUILDING AND IS JUST PLAIN FUN!- PLAN ON OUTRAGEOUS GAME SESSIONS, WILD IMPROV IDEAS, AND LOTS OF GROWING AND LEARNING.

Age 3-6

Popular class for young performers to experience a great “taste of theatre.” Singing, dancing, pantomime, storytelling, improvisation, projection, make-believe and more. Three teachers move students from music to drama to dance in 25-minute periods divided into groups by age.

A delightful musical theatre class for that student who wants to try our the wonder of telling a story in word and song. AND great for the experienced performer who wants to stretch. A script of a classic is combined with props and costumes provided by T & K. Dance, song, and story with past shows including

PETER AND THE WOLF, CHARLIE BROWN, THE WIZARD OF OZ, CINDERELLA, and SNOW WHITE.

Each week we will discuss a new topic including acting, music improv, character development and style, The last class will feature a 30 minute demo performance for families and friends. A GREAT way to grow in your knowledge and skills. (Students will be divided by grade into two classes: 1 - 3 and 4-6.) Teachers: Noelle Gambale and Madeline Burk.

Individual Lessons & Workshops

These classes are held at North Penn High School for two 8-week sessions, one in the Fall and another in the Spring.  The experienced, fun-loving staff bring a level of knowledge and excitement for the arts to every student.  No student experience is necessary!  All registration for these classes must be done directly with the North Penn Community Education Office.
